Find out how to vote absentee in-person in the Kansas City area!

If you are a Missouri voter who lives in the Kansas City region, please be mindful of the following: what county you live in matters to where you can vote and where you can apply for absentee.

  • For Kansas Citians who live in Jackson County, your election board is the Kansas City Election Board. To apply for absentee, to vote absentee in-person, or to find your polling place, you must go to that election board, found here: https://www.kceb.org (located at Union Station).
  • For Jackson County residents who don’t live in Kansas City (e.g. residents in Independence, Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit, Lone Jack, Oak Grove), your election board is the Jackson County Election Board. To apply for absentee, to vote absentee in-person, or to find your polling place, you must go to that election board, found here: https://jcebmo.org (located at 215 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050).
  • For Platte County residents who live in Kansas City, your election board is Platte County Board of Elections. To apply for absentee, to vote absentee in-person, or to find your polling place, you must go to that election board, found here: https://www.plattemovotes.org (located at 2600 NW Prairie View Road, Platte City)
  • For Clay County residents who live in Kansas City, your election board is Clay County Board of Elections. To apply for absentee, to vote absentee in-person, or to find your polling place, you must go to that election board, found here: https://www.claycoelections.com (located at 100 W.   • For Cass County residents who live in Kansas City, your election board is Cass County Clerk.
